The challenge

A community with nowhere of its own online

Friends of Bousfield is a London-based charity supporting Bousfield Primary School, its 200 families, and the wider local community. Its communications were spread across multiple channels, with only a basic, often outdated page on the School's website. Audiences were left piecing together inconsistent information, and frustration was growing.

The challenge was giving the charity a single, reliable destination for updates, events, and involvement opportunities. A destination fully independent from the School's platform, putting Friends of Bousfield in control of its own digital presence for the first time.

My contribution

Owning the build, from discovery to launch

Friends of Bousfield tasked me with creating its first standalone website, and I led the project end to end: CMS discovery, information architecture and visual design, through to copywriting, UX testing and stakeholder onboarding.

The result moved the charity from a single, outdated subpage on the School's website to a fully owned, multi-page platform with rich, up-to-date content showcasing the charity and its work, and laid the foundation for a clearer, more connected community experience. In its first year the site welcomed 1,500 unique visitors and 5,000 page views, in a school community of 200 families.

“Elena consistently demonstrated impressive creativity, strategic thinking, and an outstanding ability to manage content across multiple platforms. Her ability to craft compelling narratives, optimise content for SEO, and manage campaigns with precision made a significant impact across our platforms.”
